The antique Joglo is the center piece of stunning Villa Des Indes, which was originally located in Demak, Central Java. From here it was rescued, as it was due to be demolished, and reconstructed on its present site. Transported piece by piece, Villa des Indes has become one of the most unique properties on Bali. With the joglo as the center piece, Villa Des Indes comprises more structures, including separate and secluded bungalows, designed by acclaimed international architects.

The Joglo, originally carved in Demak , uses the method of tongue and groove, therefore no nails being needed in its design. It boasts floral designs, as well as intricate artwork on the ceiling.
